LANDFILL DRAINTUBE LFG

DRAINTUBE LFG - Horizontal LFG collection

Use

During landfill operation, Landfill Gas (LFG) is collected through horizontal collector trenches regularly placed in the waste mass. The zone of influence of each collector trench influences the movement of the LFG within the waste mass.

DRAINTUBE® LFG replaces traditional horizontal collector trenches and can be installed directly on the waste. It offers a high flow capacity for LFG collection, even under high compressive stress (under a significant thickness of waste).

Replacing the traditional horizontal LFG collector trenches with strips of DRAINTUBE® LFG increases the storage capacity of the cell as it prevents the use of granular materials.

Connection to the main header pipe using the Quick Connect system

The Quick Connect system connects the mini-pipes of the DRAINTUBE® LFG directly to the main header pipe. This ensures that the overall system is depressurized, reduces pressure losses, and increases the vacuum zone of influence.

Benefits

  • Optimization of LFG collection during operation
  • Horizontal LFG collection in the waste mass in replacement of granular collector trenches
  • Large zone of influence and high collection rate
  • High drainage capacity under heavy loads
  • Easy installation with a single product to unroll
  • Cost-effective and environmentally friendly solution as it replaces granular layers
