LANDFILL DRAINTUBE
Use
As part of the Leachate Collection and Removal System (LCRS), the leachate collection layer at the bottom of the cell limits the hydraulic head level over the primary or secondary geomembranes.
Partial replacement of the granular drainage layer by the DRAINTUBE® drainage geocomposite at the bottom of the cell saves granular material, which is more and more difficult to find and involves significant costs. In addition, this solution increases the storage capacity of the cell and reduces truck traffic around the site.
DRAINTUBE® has a high and constant flow capacity, even under heavy loads. To increase its performance, an Anti-Biological Clogging (ABC) filter can be associated with the geocomposite to limit bacterial growth. DRAINTUBE® replaces the geomembrane protection geotextile and granular drainage materials.
Benefits
- Improvement of leachate collection in the cell
- High drainage capacity under heavy loads
- Control and limitation of the hydraulic head on the liner
- Mechanical protection of the geomembrane against puncture
- Easy installation with a single product to unroll
- Cost-effective and environmentally friendly solution as it replaces granular layers
